Wouldn't they all have to have Kentucky accents then?
Wondering if this is a good thing or a bad thing for Springfield, OR.... The Simpson's Springfield is a shithole, lol! Permanent tire fire, three-eyed fish, and all.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

I thought it was Kentucky too, I remember that episode.

Springfield is kind of a shithole nestled in a beautiful part of Oregon. I've been there a number of times, and a few of my friends from college grew up there. Those are their words, not mine.
...Matt Groening went to the same hippie college as me in Olypmia, WA. There are all kinds of Simpsons related things there. The Evergreen State College, our alma mater, was located on Evergreen Parkway, similar to the Evergreen Terrace. A huge party house that eventually got bulldozed was called the Millhouse. There was an on-going Greener debate about whether Milhouse's character was named after the Millhouse or Richard Milhous Nixon. I like to think it was the house. I miss that house.

Yeah, but in the movie they list off all of the states bordering Springfield, which aren't anywhere near each other. I think they just liked to switch the location to screw with people.
