so bubba are you all squared away for seattle now? were you "lucky" enough to meet matt cord the other day?

All squared away for Seattle...atleast as far as the flight and baseball game goes. Still need to book the Ramada and Ellensburg...I'll do that tonight.

And no, didnt meet Matt, I did meet Jennie Mae from the Bod Squad (huge PJ fan, she was admiring my green '05 Canada tee), also met Preston & Steve and a few others from the morning show. I was misinformed about Matt being there.

I just hate all the fraternity bashing that goes on on this board.

I was really, really close to making a shirt in 2003 that says "Fraternity Meathead" and wearing it to every show I sit in the fan club section.

I wasnt a big fan of fraternities at my school but thats only because most of the jerks I met from the fraternities thought that they were above everyone else just because they were in them. Everyone made a big deal of the "frat parties" as well, but we had more fun at the apartment parties than any of those.

Guess it all depends on who ya meet and hang out with from frats as to what your impression is of them, and BA doesn't help your cause on here either.

My point is that the majority of fraternity guys are not yelling "Nerds" and drinking out of trophies like in the Alpha Beta House in Revenge of the Nerds.

It just seems to me that for a band whose following is supposed to be so open minded to ideas and different persepectives on things is very closed minded with fraternities and people who do not share the political beliefs of the band.

    Well just my two cents.

    * Edit - Sorry for the last rant. Damn hippie pacifists got me in a bad mood today saying there are no winners in war and that all war is wrong. (I really gotta stop going to A Moving Train. because I always get bitter and fired up after visiting there.)

People on here open minded.... hahaha ;)

I agree with Bubba, its like any other group of people, a mixed bag. I hung out with a bunch of great guys in a fraternity and even pledged. And then there were guys in other fraternities that were assholes. For the most part at Penn, they were good guys but there are always exceptions.

LOL, I hear ya. I never go in that forum. As soon as they hear your on the right or not totally left you get blasted. Who needs that.

And as for frats and frats guys, Ive never had a problem with them, just some of those I was introduced to back in the day I didnt get a good impression so I just stayed away from those guys and hung out with the cooler brothers. My theory is a frat doesnt make a person who they are. Ive met plenty of non-frat PSU people who are stuck on themselves as well. I dont discriminate...LOL

I'm in a fratenity. Once you're in one, you're in one for life right? It's a small service fraternity from Lynchburg College in Va. It's small and not national but still a fraternity. I had the time of my life while I went there. Not all fraternities are bad, just the bad ones. :)
