Being a fan of many different types of beers, I welcome the differences between Smithwick's and Guiness, esp since they aren't the same type. I can say I like Guiness better, but Smith's is still a good time. This especially holds true b/c I couldn't drink another Yuengling if you paid me. I think 8 yrs of that was enough.
As for certain beers having different effects on you than others- I have to stay away from Victory's Golden Monkey. I dunno what's in it besides the usual beer ingredients, but it's good and it get's me in trouble of some sort every time. Guaranteed.0 -

I think that Golden Monkey is like a barley wine. Barley wines will have a high alcohol percentage(10-15% in some). It tastes really sweet. Sierra Nevada's Bigfoot Ale is bad news for me (11.5%). I never drink more than two in a sitting and I don't drink anything more if I've had two. Bigfoot is out now. Strap yourself down and try some.
There is a great beer tasting event at Penn every year. This year it was held on March 18th. I missed it. Some great brewers attend and there are all kinds of beers to sample. That is where I first tried Victory beers. They make some great beer. I like their Hop Devil.support The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia

Yeah, I know it's high in alc %...I meant some mystical ingredient not listed on the label. I wasn't talking about it getting me drunk, I was referring to it making me do some off the wall stuff. It's just been too many times for it to be a coincidence.
Fact: Direct Correlation between me going out of my mind when drinking Golden Monkey vs. other beers with same alc. content.0 -

d-town is NOT the same as WC, just to clarify that"I hear Fanch has a Pimp Cup and loves Kiss. I think that's all that really matters."0 -

I haven't had a good beer in a while.. well other than some smithwicks but I mean all I've been drining lately is Miller Lite, Miller High Life awww yeah.. and Yuengling. Think I might have to try and mix it up alittle.. let my taste buds get alittle crazy. Ohh and I had some good ole Icehouse.
Are you sure D-town and WC aren't the same???This is your notice that there is a problem with your signature. Please remove it.

Maybe it's the sugar content? Try the Bigfoot and let me know if you freak out. If you do it might be the sugar. How are you with the wheat beers? Have you ever tried Leffe? It is such a different flavor. It's good. I don't like it as much as I like Pearl Jam's music, but it's still good.support The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
