I looked into the hotel I stayed at last year, its next to the airport. A room with two queen beds for 3 nights is 209.97, so $52 a person for the hotel.

Transportation, you can catch the bus from the hotel to downtown for like $2 one way, so Friday you wouldnt need a rental car.

Rental car for July 22/23 is $41.33

Gas youd need two tanks, so $60.

So we're looking at like $500 a head with airfare figured in... sounds pretty doable to me.

Now to make a definite decision on the natti... cause Vegas will be seen. Anyone planning on staying in Vegas a few days or just going to hit Vegas then go see the SD show??

For Vegas I was thinking of flying out that day of the concert, Thursday morning and then hanging in Vegas til Saturday and coming home either Saturday or Sunday.

As for 'Burgh and 'Natti, Im debating driving or flying to Pittsburgh and just renting a car and driving to Cincy from there. How far of a drive would that be??? All else fails Im up for a road trip!

Damn, thats not too bad. I thought it would be worse. I used to be able to make it from here to Penn State in under 3 hours , and thats 200 miles. Looking like a 4-5 hour drive....not too bad.

The 5th might not be a bad idea, Im just thinking of going out the day of the show so as to save my vacation days. I'll have to see if there are any flights that Wednesday night.

550 miles at 80mph = about 7 hours. Ya figure most of it is on the wonderful PA Turnpike, so as long as there are no accidents, yeah right, it shouldnt be too bad.

    For folks on the fence.....

You should do what makes you happy and what you can afford, but remember (and I beat this drum all the time): young, established, no kids, unattached, a summer Pearl Jam tour.....times like these don't happen all the time and you gotta live like a rockstar when you can. By next year, I'm betting one or more of ya will be hooked up, hitched, about to have a kid, tied down financially by house, etc (and those are very high-meaning things), but that window of opp will be closed.

I know this will show the WV in me, but you gotta make hay while the sun shines (whether the field is in Vegas, Gorge, Europe, or wherever).

I can't do Vegas; a buddy of mine asked me to go with him & his wife and I told them no (it'd hurt their feelings big time if I went to Vegas for Pearl Jam). I won't feel right. So, yeah. Natty, Gorge. I liked Matt's intinerary. I have family out there that I hardly know so it'd be a great opp for me to hang with them and do all the cool stuff Matt mentioned.

For Natty, yeah it's a hike if you're going to drive. If ya'll carpool, it'll be far cheaper. It's gonna be a great show and the afterparty will rock.

With that, go be a rockstar.

I really wish I could make Cincy, but unless I can find someone to give me a ride to Dayton to take the 6:45 A.M. flight to Philly it doesn't seem plausible.

I like Bubba's idea about pitt and cincy... just wondering what kind of flight we can get out of OH on that sunday. Looks like pitt would be like $70 so another 100 for the return flight wouldn't be that bad I guess.
