It looks like this is a vinyl release of august and everything after live at town hall which was still a great show (i bought the blu ray) but not the studio version. I hope I'm incorrect.

the cover photo on the canadian amazon

I went and checked and it does show the cover for the Town Hall show. It was still a great show (That version of Round Here and Raining in Baltimore was incredible!). I went ahead and pre-ordered regardless. Thanks OP for heads up.

If they would re-release Throwing Copper, Mellon Collie and Sixteen Stone, I'd be all set.

Looks to me like they just used the wrong photo. The item listing still just says "August and Everything After"(vinyl)

  • Best Buy pre-order also has the cover to the live album released last year. You guys might want to check with a local store before you place the order.

When I pre-ordered it yesterday there was no photo up, I just assumed it was the studio album. Somewhat disappointed if this is the case but like I said, this was still a phenomenal show and I wouldn't mind it on vinyl.

    No problem Jobu :D

I have already pre-ordered from Best Buy, the pic on BB is now the Town Hall as well, so I am pretty sure this is the one coming out. I still can't wait to play it.

Depends on whether the price is worth it to you. It was a really good show and I think it is limited to 500 copies.

I have a new question. Is this an official CC release or is this some company bootlegging the audio from the dvd and slapping it onto 500 vinyls?

I cancelled when I found out it was a live show. I like counting crows and all but I just don't think $40 is a good price for a live version. I cancelled on amazon and used my giftcard to buy Siamese Dream re-issue. Had some money left on the card and bought Appetite for Destruction re-issue with the original art on the cover. Two classic albums instead on one live version probably with bad audio too.

I finally got a response from Best Buy and was told it was official, for what that is worth. I know Soundstage has the colored vinyl ones, so I really am not sure. I guess I will find out when it arrives :?

Also, I like a few others, was disappointed it was the Live album but I am still looking forward to spinning it. Hopefully if this sells well, they will consider re-issuing the studio version, we shall see.

Interesting how they're confusing the hell out of people with what release is actually being pressed.

On a side note, I was astonished to find out how valuable Phish's Lawn Boy was on vinyl. Back in the day I could have purchased at least 6 from the local record shop where I went to college. They were $10 a piece. They go for far more than that now. I had no idea that it was so limited. Still, it's pretty terrible music to my ears and wasn't worth the coin even at those prices.

Sorry to bring up an older thread but I got an email from Best Buy a few days ago telling me that this album is backordered. Not yet available to ship but may be in the next 7-30 days. Just a heads up for anyone else who pre-ordred from Best Buy and hasn't gotten the email. I'm not sure if I want to cancel now or not, it seems like might be awhile before I get it from them.
