Was mindlessly watching the Brady Bunch movie on TV when Marcia Brady walked by a couple HS boys and they exchange this dialog:

1st kid - "Man, she drives me crazy. I have to have that."

2nd kid - "I live next door to her. Believe me, she's harder to get into than a Pearl Jam concert."

That kinda got my attention.

I don't know if anyone remembers from the great Saved By The Bell years, but I remember during one of the Saved By The Bell: The College Years episodes, the guys are all in college and Zach Morris is talking to someone else about going to a Pearl Jam concert.

Zach comes off as being someone who would be in to Nickelback or The Petshop Boys.

  • Ole Zachy actually had a PJ poster in his dorm room for at least one of the episodes.
I remember it was there in at least one episode (which i saw recently in re-airing) but disappeared in another.

You would think Zach would be in to Nickleback,
but just remember, Pearl Jam WERE the Nickleback of their day.

My wife was watching Stepmom the other day and I walked through the room when they were discussing getting tickets to a Pearl Jam concert and how "cool" Susan Sarandon's character was for doing that...on a school night. That caught my attention for a second. Then the movie sucked again so I went in the other room.

I rememeber this...and it was Pearl Jam tickets. One of my favorite shows. Mainly because Niles the butler is a sarcastic asshole...and I love that. One of my all-time favorite sitcom characters.

Aw man, I thought/hoped this would be like the Aston Kutcher thread. Not sure if anyone still remembers that, seems like it was a lifetime ago. :? :P

Anyway, I'm ashamed to say that even if I'd come across a Pearl Jam reference in a TV show or anything, it'd probably be a bit exciting, but I'd probably also forget it pretty quickly. I say this because I'm sure there was one recently somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where.

Mike McCready ending the tv series Friends is pretty much as badass as it gets.

I agree great show, I also remember an episode where there is some sort of financial person in the house that had done taxes for pearl jam (or something like that) and Brighton gets really excited and asks about Eddie Vedders house.

Pearl Jam references were every-fucking-where back then. And we wonder why Ed felt compelled to write Corduroy ... :)
