I think we need a cider thread.

I tend to prefer Italian or Spanish reds, middle of the road to dry. Favorite grape varietals are Montepulciano, Garnacha, & Tempranillo.

I like Sauvignon Blanc, usually from New Zealand. My sister turned me on to this because it can be quite grapefruity. Red wine gives me a headache because it sits in it's skin too long.....too many histamines. I do love me some wine from time to time ;)

    This

Really nice and smooth. Beautiful wine but pretty pricey for good bottle, totally worth it though. ;)

Love Australian reds (seems the Aussies can do no wrong with these) and lately, getting into California reds.

Faves: Yalumba Shiraz/Viognier (Australia) and Folie a Deux Menage a Trois (when I can get it, California 3 grape red blend) and Cupcake Vineyards Red Velvet (red California... nice finish -- tastes just like a chocolate cupcake!)

I drink mostly local Sav Blanc in the summer (from Hawkes Bay or Marlborough in NZ) and Merlot or Pinot Noir from Otago in NZ. As with most things I try to buy local, and we are so lucky in this part of the world to be so spoilt with the great selection of wines.

I've moved away from beer too - headaches and you have to drink too much of it! I've been drinking quite a few Malbec's and Pinot Noir's lately.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

The one I've been drinking lately is Oko Pinot Grigio. It's an Italian organic one. LOVE IT!!
