Speakers for laptop

brianluxbrianlux Posts: 42,038
I really enjoy viewing and listening to PJ numbers posted often here on the forum but listen to them through the tiny tinny speakers in my laptop (a fairly new Toshiba Satellite). Any suggestions for add-on speakers? I'm partial to warm, mid-range analog and I know I won't get that through a laptop but I'd like to find add-ons that have the best shot at something other than tinny sounding.

Thanks in advance for any idea out there.

I use headphones most of the time but I picked up a pair of these and they're pretty solid, the sound is very good for the price.

I use Bose Companion 2 speakers, and they have been solid for over 3 years, no problems, and $99
