Stephen King is a huge music fan and a musician himself. He definitely likes to rock. I'd be shocked if he doesn't have some admiration for Pearl Jam.

Thank you for sharing the Molly Lewis song! That made my day.

I am a Stephen King fan too, and I know he's mentioned PJ in at least a couple of stories - sorry I can't recall which ones off hand.

My dad turned me on to Neil Young and The Who when I was 13. I've been a fan of both ever since. I got into Pearl Jam aftewards and I was delighted to find out their admiration for both.

Similar thing happened to me-- my dad's favorite band is The Who, so we have listened to the band together for as long as I can remember. My first piece of music was Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy on cassette tape which my dad gave to me when I was 2! Anyway, fast forward to me discovering PJ in 2008. When I found out they were huge Who admirers, I got very excited, too! I always have listened to The Who, but after discovering PJ loved The Who, I started to listen to them significantly more. That got me talking with my dad about music again, and it actually brought us closer! In 2008, 39 years after my dad saw The Who at Woodstock, he took me to see them! What a show, and pretty damn cool to have shared it with my dad. So yes, definitely agree on how cool this awesome 'your idols admire people who you also admire' thing the OP was talking about is :)
