he stopped because the crowd wouldn't shut the hell up.

My take on it was that he stopped cause he fucked up on the lyrics. Maybe he lost track because of the yelling, but he started by singing the second verse. I just figured he gave up cause he messed up.

  • yeah, he stopped cause the crowd kept yelling shit, he lost his concentration, fucked it up a tiny bit, got frustrated, threw down the lyric sheet in disgust and gave up on the song.

Thank you to all the motherfuckers who fucking wouldn't shut the fuck up at fucking chicago night 2 and cost us a chance to hear a FULL FUCKING VERSION of Brain Damage. you fucking idiots who yell out DURING a song are so fucking stupid.

I MEAN IT'S BAD ENOUGH BETWEEN SONGS. BUT DURING A SONG??? FUCK OFF AND DIE IDIOT MOTHERFUCKERS WHO YELL OUT.

    (yes, i'm bitter.)

Ed stopped at "theirs someone in my head and it's not me..."

Im thinking he maybe forgot the next progression added with audience noise.

honestly, (i sat 2nd to last row in the building) i didnt hear enough noise at that point to warrant him stopping.

I can see what you are saying. I was in balcony 2 front row on thursday night and on friday night in the way back of balcony 1. The sound was better in balcony 2 to begin with, but on night 2 it seemed all the assholes were around us yelling in balcony 1. You probably heard the drunken whore who kept yelling "CHELIOS!!!" and lots of crap about how detroit loves him etc. She was just over one section behind me and it was fucking horrible. The people around me really fucked up the show for me.

I was sitting in the 4th row and some douche bag yelled "Thank you Eddie" really loud shortly before ed stopped the song. There were definitely other people screaming and yelling during the song but the thank you eddie d-bag was heard loud and clear toward the front.

from 15 rows back in our seats, it just looked like he forgot the chords. he didn't look pissed, but hey, i was 15 back.

I thought Brain Damage was an intro to Masters of War.

I was on the floor, and I could not hear the screams as loud as you could in the balconies.

I mean, I did hear them, but it wasnt that bad. the sound carries up in that room.

I agree. It seemed like he planned on doing a small part of it and then into Masters Of War.

I didn't think the fans were that bad.

I was in the pit and trust me, the crowd was horrendous!!! All the flash photography and the noise coming from the balconies was VERY noticeable! And then the idiots who insisted on clapping during a slower song (I forget the name)! So many dumb sh!ts at this show, it was terrible.... I tried my best to ignore them and enjoy my Pit seats (I know I'll never be this close again!)

EV made multiple comments about the crowd. First saying "Shut the F*ck Up! Oh wait, I'm sorry that was impolite of me..... Shut the F*ck up PLEASE!".... then telling everyone to sit down and enjoy there nice vinyl seats. Followed by "everyone please lets just listen and enjoy the music, it should be about the music tonight". Then letting people scream out song requests for a minute, and saying "ok, you guys done? I'm feeling like a jukebox and you all are shoving quarters up my a$$ to play songs"

I expected a few bad apples after reading previous reviews, but this show seemed worse than the norm... very upsetting! I felt bad for Eddie, and myself, because it almost ruined my night a few times.

Sure it get s a little annoying...but I really think too many people are being way to sensetive about all of this. It's probably annoying 5-6 times per show and for all of 10-20 sec at a time. If you're going to let that bother you, I feel very sorry for you.

Were you at the Friday show??? It was way more often than you are giving it credit for... I would say it interrupted my enjoyment of EV at least 20 seperate times. Between the yelling, clapping, people trying come up and rush the stage (I had aisle seats)... it was very annoying. I'm sure it happened more than this, but thankfully the louder songs drowned people out...

Dont get me wrong I enjoyed the show to the fullest, but it would have been so much better without all the riff raff

Yep, I was there. I will agree 100% that it would be better without any of those idiots yelling anything...but, I still enjoyed the hell out of it.

Just saying that you really only have 3 options...go home...physically deal with the idiots making the noise yourself...or, learn to deal with it and enjoy yourself.

I was way more pissed at the idiot behind me that seemed to think he was doing the play-by-play for his buddy next to him then anything else...though that "Chelios" Chick should have been body checked to the ground.

saying assholes are part of concerts is like saying there'll always be drunk drivers ... neither should be tolerated ...

Right on. We were close and Ed was definitely pissed during Brain Damage. It was loud, then it got louder, then it became a roar. That's when he threw the lyric sheet.

Especially considering they're probably one in the same in most cases.
