Just heard back from the 10C:

    Hi Matt,

We are currently working with PayPal to get those refunds processed. Unfortunately each card company varies so we can't give you an exact day that it will be posted to your account, but you should see the refund sometime this week.

We thank you for your patience throughout this unfortunate tour postponement and resulting ticket refund.

    Best regards,
    10c

    thanks, 10c!

I noticed my Austin 10C ticket order was deleted from my ORDER HISTORY recently .... but I'll be watching the credit card statement too. No communication from 10c on "action taken" or "refund has been processed."

(would think the order would stay in history, and maybe be appended "refunded" or something....)

From someone that works in the credit card industry (and I deal directly with disputes), to prevent 10c from getting A LOT of headaches, please don't call your banks and issue disputes if you don't get your refunds right away. I see it every day with people that jump the gun and issue chargebacks (disputes) when the merchant is more than willing to give a refund. The merchant is then assessed chargeback fees and they gotta deal with annoying paperwork (usually from me hahaha).

Just wanted to add my 2 cents :P

gotta say, a bit nervous. No refund for hubby's tix yet. We clicked ye ole refund link on 4/7, it's been a week since the deadline, not a peep/tweet/nada/nuthin'? Trying to be patient but I have no confidence that the shabby little linked refund page worked, it seemed kinda sparse. that plus I just paid the bills and I could really use that $170. :D
  • I got my Jacksonville refund this afternoon, so they're coming...just takes time I guess.

I need guidance or expertise. Have never seen PJ live, but purchased tickets to see EV solo tour live in Vegas. Seeing the band is on my bucket list, so any opportunity feels as if it may never happen again. I was beyond excited. Planned an entire trip around the concert, as I live in Cleveland. Roundtrip airfare, lodging, and all that comes with it including ground transportation and food. And of course, Ed canceled a few days before my trip. I was meeting a friend there and I could not cancel. I spent thousands of dollars. I truly feel for EV, as I have disk problems myself, and I hope he is on the mend. When I got home I decided to cancel the tix for the rescheduled show, feeling guilty about the money I had already spent. I've got a son who is going to college in the fall. Now I am questioning my decision, wishing I could go back. So few things bring me as much joy as PJ and their music. What would y'all do? And if you say "GO!" how would you go about getting the best possible tickets? What to do...what to do? I lost my husband to cancer three years ago, and fell into a serious funk afterward. Seeing PJ20 documentary last October made me feel alive again. Look forward to hearing what other serious fans have to say.
    Thanks!

?? Really... But it was a brand new convo about him being spotted at the game ... so old photo or new (was presented as new, but I guess it wasn't), but I'm pretty sure he was still at a game on the weekend (unless several people are just liars?).

I don't know if he was watching a Red Sox game last weekend, but that pic was taken some years ago. I think 2005.

    that picture is very old.

Fair enough (kind of lame of the person who posted that pic as though it was current) ... but still he seems to have been at a red sox/TB game on Sunday, so he's not bed bound, hurray. :)

I posted the picture. Felt it was obvious that people would not think it was current, and later in the thread I clarified that it was an old one.

My daughter just texted me as I sit here in Austin in my prepaid room with my nonrefundable airline tix and my wheelchair-bound wife who will simply be beyond traveling come summer. So excited she was to see Ed and Glenn again.

Austin has been grand to us, the wife just had the best tacos of her life, the BBQ has been mind blowing. We've tried not to let the disappointment show, we're accustomed to making the most of every day as her condition advances, but she reached over and changed the radio when Alive played earlier today.

And the daughter texted me ... from the Coldplay show in San Jose. Where I was supposed to be with her and her 3 friends ... until Eddie announced his tour. Someone with the band came up to them and moved them to the third row. I'm up waiting for her to call me. An awesome experience for her, that I also missed.

Don't mind me, just let me be, my eyes so far away.

    Poor Ed!
Stone explained how Ed hurted his back:

How's Eddie doing? Hurt his back when moving a bench in his back yard. His arm was going to sleep. Going through physical therapy now. (Notes from http://www.theskyiscrape.com/2012/04/stone-on-wfpk.html)
    Stone interview: http://www.theweeklyfeed.org/2012/04/30 ... gossard-2/

Some years ago, I had the same problem with my left arm. Physical therapy was great for me.
    Get well soon Ed!

Curious, is 10c going to offer the new postponed date tickets to fan club members? If this has already been discussed, can someone send me the thread?

Thanks ... Yeah, it was just a double-whammy of NOT seeing Ed or Coldplay. It really wasn't a hard decision to double book Ed over Coldplay, wasn't that hard to then see it through and just make the most of Austin regardless. And yeah, my daughter's still flying 3 days later, Chris Martin was flashing peace signs back to them all night -- she actually had to audition, sing some songs to the crew member before he'd give 'em the tickets -- nooo problem for her. And just so unbelievable cool, she was actually on the runway/catwalk rail in the 3rd row -- we know Ed does the same thing, moves fans up, so that was kinda neat.

And i pretty much have mastered Broken Heart and Without You on uke now! Heck, I ran through Ed's whole songbook on Friday and Saturday.... Ed's music is getting me through it all, even with travel, still a hella lot cheaper than anti-depressents and therapists! My kids don't need two parents drugged to the gills...

    Hi!

We were also in Austin for the Eddie April 27th show. I had also been awaiting that concert really bad and we were hoping to exchange our second pair of tickets for Saturday. It was truly a bummer, but life is so unexpected and anything can happen to any of us. We did meet another couple who are also PJ fans and were there to see Eddie.
I wish we could have met you guys too!
We also live in Concord, CA. I was looking to find any update on Eddie's condition and read your post and saw that you're from Concord.
I am very sorry to hear that your wife's condition is not a good one and that she missed Eddie's solo show. I can understand why she changed the station on the radio too.

Best regards to a fellow PJ/ Eddie fan.

Been checking various fall dates and pulling some good single tix on TM ... but can't book Southwest past Nov 2 yet, so I'm hesitatin....

Thanks for the thoughts, Vanessa! Looks like we're pretty contemporary, been to almost all the same shows! Though my first show was Sacto in '95. I was the dude pushing the cute lady in the wheelchair all around Austin -- but needless to say we weren't really hangin out in the clubs or music halls (and I didn't bring any PJ/EV ware, just the uke...) That boat-landing, way out 15th next to the dam was a totally cool hangout though. Spent Saturday afternoon chillin' at Mozarts Coffee shop there.

Pearl Jam shows have always been a good release, but more so Eddie's over the past 4-5 years have just been tracking with this downward spiral I'm witnessing first hand. These uke songs hit just when I needed 'em.

Yes, I remember when PJ came to Sacramento. To me at that time going to Sacramento was like going to Oregon, even though I lived in Hayward at the time.... I just didn't have the money, independence, and I had issues going on at the time. But, I totally agree with you in regards to the release one feels at the concerts. Eddie shows are phenomenal!!!!!!! Everyone has that respect and just want to hear him.. I feel like I am in a trance of sorts when I hear him!! There is nothing like it!! And yes, his Uke songs are so sweet, heartfelt, and simply awesome!! I can't wait to hear him again!! I am truly sorry that you're going through what seems to be very challenging times. I hope you have the friends and family for support.
Also, about Austin. My husband had his PJ shirt from the PJ20 festival and I had my favorite Eddie Vedder solo tour t-shirt that I bought at Berkeley's Zellerback Hall. But in a way I was feeling bummed and didn't wear it even though we were listening to PJ radio on XM on our rental car. So, people express their grief in different ways.
Both of our cars have stickman stickers on the back windows, so I am always looking at other cars to see if I spot any PJ related stuff and only been lucky twice.... the things PJ fans do!! :fp:
