    I was SO hungry a little while ago.  Scrounged around the kitchen and couldn't find a mid-day snack so, Ah ha!  Oatmeal!  Why not!

    So, I measured out the water and oats put them on medium heat and suddenly, it's hailing outside!  After watching the hail for a about ten minutes I started to smell something.  Ah ha!  Oatmeal! 

    Did you know that if you put oatmeal on to cook and don't stir it at all the oats will cook anyway... except the bottom layer which will burn and stink like oat shit.  And even if you don't scrape too close to the pan, it still doesn't taste all that good.  And the smell in the kitchen-- good grief, it lingers and lingers!

    My latest Kitchen Kreation:

    Applesauce Charbon

    Peal and dice apples.  Place apples in a saucepan with a little water.  Sprinkle desired amount of sugar over apples and stir in.  Place on medium low burner.  Leave kitchen and go to another room without setting timer.   Find something distracting to do like read my stupid recipes on this forum.  Wait until your nose tell you its done.

    voilà!  Applesauce Charbon!
