Could be a very bad hit. Reports are twin twisters with one being 1/2 wide and on the ground for 30 minutes.

    :(

Best Safe everyone... yikes that's scary!!
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols

Reports are that all schools in the area and throughout the Dallas Ft.Worth area had gone into emergency shelter mode so hopefully everyone was in a safe spot.

    Another tornado just touched down.

Horrible weather today! One of the many tornados that touched down in the Dallas-Forth Worth Area:

Unscathed here. We were under Tornado Watch, and one was spotted in the area, but all I got was a shitload of rain. Seeing a lot of damage on the news from surrounding areas though. They were showing a truck yard in Dallas where 3 ton trailers were being blown around like sheets of paper.

So far I haven't heard of any deaths, or even serious injury (though there are some injuries) on the news. There was pretty good warning ahead of time. They've been telling us about these storms coming in since last night, and they started really amping up the warning when it got close. And hey, we're in tornado alley, we've been drilled on what to do for a tornado. But God forbid is snow or something, and the roads ice over, then shit gets all fucked up.

I was watching the TV coverage and saw that video live. Semi trailers flying up in the air! Mind-blowing.

5 tornadoes in all. None close to our house but my husband works near DFW airport. One tornado went past his building and over to the airport.

Some folks that didn't get damage still have power out. But everybody I know is safe. What a relief.

I get real wired during storms like this. Takes me a while to wind down again.

Crazy, crazy day today. We get tornadoes but to have more than one large one at once, well it was kind of chaotic.

No serious injuries as far as I've seen on the news. A lot of damage though and homes damaged and/or destroyed in Arlington, Dallas, Lancaster, and Forney. I think it helped that these storms took place mid day and most people were at work or school.

Schneider National ( my employer) has a terminal there. Tornado tossed loaded and unloaded trailers 150 to 200 feet in the air. legally these trailers can hold 45K plus the weight of the trailer itself. Powerful stuff. To my knowledge no one at our yard was hurt. LOT of damage though.
