quote to put on resume

I was thinking that I would like to have a quote about creativity on my resume, can anyone think of any PJ lyrics that would work well? It needs to be fairly short, hopefully inspirational and positive... I like the idea of having PJ in my resume since they're such an important part of my life, but I don't think a lot of employers would be super impressed by "tenclub member since 1995"...

 Though it does demonstrate loyalty and an ability to pay membership fees!

i appreciate the advice Ledbetterdays; I'm in interior design and there's a lot of emphasis on visual presentation and creativity, even for resumes. Would you still say no to the quote idea? It would be more like a personalized stationary sort of thing... that sounds lame, but I mean it would be at the top of the resume and the cover letter to sort of 'brand' them...
  • It is a matter of opinion, but in the U.S. quotes are passe in e-mails, resumes, etc. If you are in a creative industry then make a creative resume or add an original design to it. Quotes also come from people so if you use one, try and make it neutral or you may be viewed as supporting a cause, political, affiliation, etc.

Here are some really creative resume ideas for creative types:

I second this. Basically, a resume is a snapshot of your qualifications to do the job. Don't junk it up with filler material. Remember, employers get a lot of resumes (especially these days) when a job is open. They want to glance over your resume in a minute or two and decide whether they want to interview you or not. They don't want to be bothered with extraneous stuff. In turn, your interview is where you want to show off you qualifications and creativity in depth.
