1940 Census data has just been released. Here is a little stat shot. I know we like to draw conclusions, so ... let's get it on! 8-)

My first conclusions is that I now understand why the democrats cater to health care and education.

My first reaction, 1940 has a total of 72.2% identified ; 2010 has only 62.2%

Are there more categories for the 100% to be split between today? That would be a good thing I would think.

It does show that as mfg decreases, you do need more education for the higher level jobs...that and you end up with more people on social services. ;) Seems reasonable.

My prediction is that in another 70 years the agriculture statistic will read between 25% and 30%-- maybe even higher.
