I am so sick of this ever expanding "war". First we kill civilians with our drones in Yemen and now we want to send troops... The troops need to come home.

    A little bit confused...
Does this mean you are happy with President Obama because he is NOT delivering the change he promised us... and instead, is continuing the same politics of war that you want?

What I'm saying is that the American people were duped...led like sheep to the slaughter.

I recognized it back in '08...why didn't everyone else?

I don't have a "politics of war," although I do believe that war is occassionally a necessary evil.

I just find it hilarious that the "anti-war" candidate has actually, if anything, EXPANDED the war effort.

I seem to recall that, back during the Iraq invasion, there were quite a few protests throughout the country. Where, may I ask, are they now? They've now focused their protests on the "Occupy" movement. Why? There could be a number of reasons, but I personally think the reason is that to protest the EXPANDING war now would cast the liberal golden boy Obama in a negative light. And that would be, um, inconvenient to say the least

    Thanx for the clarification.
I was just wondering... since the 'change' promised hadn't occurred... it must have meant that you wanted the previous 8 years to continue. It sounds like you are happier that things remain the same... and did not change.

I don't really agree. He ended two nation building wars, which got out of control and brought the war to the terrorists who are, you know, actually trying to attack us. As someone who voted for him, I am perfectly fine with that.

Edit: And in fact, I'd say Obama was the more aggressive candidate when it came to talking about pursuing terrorists within allies borders, so no, it wasn't a lie at all.

I think people are pissed off at President Obama because he didn't 'change' and ended up killing Bin Laden.

Why don't we just admit we want to control the world. We'll draft every man woman and child between the ages of 18 and 59 and divvy up a world map and send 'em out in proportion to each country's population. The the whole world can start endlessly chanting W-O-R-L-D-- U-S-A, U-S-A.

Oh, and I don't think this is a partisan issue- no way- history has proven that.

Despite repeated Obama insistences that ground troops would not be sent to Yemen.....

More change you can choke on.

So continue to fight a losing "war" in Afghanistan and expand it out to Yemen, right? We got bin Laden, and that is good. Terrorism is a bad, bad thing. There is no doubt about it. It's a shame we have to kill innocent people to kill terrorists and... It's tough to stop an idea that has spread when the person calling the shots is an ocean away.
