  • Not really. I was a little disappointed.

Don't see the fascination with this. Brew a beer, slap PJ on the label, and sell it for a fortune. (OK maybe not sell it for loads but seems to resell for quite a bit).

I might release my own range of PJ sausage rolls and see how well they do.

  • Sounds like mixed reviews. I actually just found out about the ale yesterday...

I came up empty at the store, but will try the bar next time to sample a glass. I really wanted the bottles, though, for the novelty of it.

    This :D

If you're a beer snob, you will be disappointed.

If you keep an open mind and enjoy it for what it is, you will be pleased.

I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I enjoy many different styles of craft brews, and this one is very smooth and contrary to what some have said, has notes of some fruitiness. It's a bit expensive, but not a bad beer by any measure.

Those that compare it to Coors Light are seriously just trying to keep it for themselves.

If you are not a craft beer drinker but you enjoy BMC stuff (Bud, Miller, Coors), you will probably like it. It is fairly easy drinking but has some good flavour to it.

If you are really in to craft beer, it will likely disappoint you.

  • This is a THEMED beer, you must understand that it was not brewed to appeal to everyone. From the currants through the incremental additions. Give DFH some credit they didn't have much to go on. The response they received when they asked "what does PJ drink?", answer "cheap mexican beer and sweet pinot nior".

I'm a 'beer snob' and enjoyed all 5 bottles I've had. Definately light for a craft brew. Goes for less than $10 a bottle here in Oregon.

I didn't mind it, but it did give me one of the worst hangovers/headaches I have had in a long time.

I drank two bottles on one night while listening to a bootleg of the first show I was at. Drunkenness ensued. It was cool.
