Yeah, I got Lukin at the '95 show, and I Got Shit. Neither of which had been released yet. Nobody had a clue.
Listening back on the boot, there's a bit where ed's trying to control the crowd and there's a break there, and you can definitely hear strains of what was or would become Long Road. No singing. Just music.
I love that.
EXACTLY......That just kicks ass......I love that.....

To someone who has been to every show this tour so far, not so much.
Here's another point: I think the internet has ruined "rarities" for a lot of us. I sometimes miss the good old days when you went to a show and had no idea what they had been playing or might play.
I remember my friends and I being blown away they played "Small Town" at our first show in '95. We didn't think they'd play it, for whatever reason. In the internet age, there are few surprises. and that's sad, sometimes.
OK ... done sounding like the Unabomber. back to the show ...
I love the internet! I'm an "older" fan and am so thankful for all those that relay the shows ... keeps the connection throughout the tour fully "alive"!
So thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess I see it as "connection" and nothing to do with "sad" or "spoiling" anything. We all have our points of view ...
I know it sounds cheesy, but I freakin' loved it when they tagged Daughter with Hey Hey My My at New Orleans 2003. Small crowd possibly due to a last midget venue change (UNO Lakefront Arena sucks), but this shit was explosive.
I liked Baba as a closer. My first show was in Fargo, and they rocked it out there as a closer. RITFW in Winnipeg was pretty cool, but that might have something to do with NY's hometown. Ed said we were 'absolutely, fucking amazing'. I bet he says that to all his bitches.

I'm definitely not a Luddite by any means. Hell, I'm here right now, aren't I?
I just think there's some good and some bad. It's fun to follow setlists on line. It's fun to keep track of the band on the road. It does ruin some of the suspense sometimes, that's for sure.
Imagine how much more apeshit I would have gone in Denver if I'd had no idea Leash had been played eight times already this tour.

Baba and RITFW are a good closer, but I would much prefer to go out on one of their tunes rather than a cover. It just doesn't seem finished to me.

A personal fav, this is good shit!
RR Star was a fun thing to watch. Ed practically spat some of those lyrics. "Don't forget who you are ... you're a rock n roll staaarr!"

I am jealous, I would have loved to have been at those Denver shows, man.
I am also a Petty fan, as an added bonus.
