I really didn't know they made music past this record, as I suppose they became less popular. I loved that song, is there stuff since then like this?

    Candlebox 93
    Lucy 1995
    Happy Pills 1998
    Into the Sun 2008.

I think Candlebox is the best but Lucy and Happy Pills have some stunning tracks, Into The Sun is pretty good all round.

Good to hear from them again. I always thought they didn't get a fair shake by the critics or rock fans of the era. "Grunge lite" was a popular derogatory term. But their first two albums were really solid front to back. Thought about them again recently during a hilarious scene from East Bound and Down. Aside from the fact it's at a funeral.

so they rerecorded all of their hits for the new album? that seems really weird
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

I'm really confused I thought it was just AOL putting songs on the end, I ALMOST didn't listen to the tracks after listening to the album UNTIL I listened to Far Behind and I was like hold on a sec, Kevin sounds like he does now, it sounds diff to the old version. And I'm sitting here listening to both trying to decide, so wth did they re record all these songs?? That's so weird?

EDIT - it seems like they did WTH, that's so weird.

EDIT 2 - I think they just re-recorded the vocals?
  • red mosred mos Posts: 4,953
yep, sounds like they re recorded those tracks. They sound more compressed like remastered versions. They also sound vocally like Kevin sings them now when they play live. Glad to have these remastered as well, but just seems a bit strange to add them to a new record. still listening to the tracks as I type, and I do like them so far.
