edited April 2012 in The Porch
at about 2:45, during the "sometimes" part in "sometimes you see a strange spot in the sky"

It sounds like a seagull or a regular duck. and then a couple seconds later.....feedback?

I hope no animals were hurt during the making of that musical piece.

What does the sound of fifty million hands upraised and open towards the sky sound like? Would it sound different if the hands were downraised towards the ground?

    Anyone? Bueller?

It's the sound of Brendan O'Brien doing a really piss poor job of what he's supposed to be doing.

Okay now you have done it!!!!! I decided to give it a close listening...

If you start playing it right at 2:44 it sounds like:

Sometimes a penis strays by-n in the sky!!!!

You may have just ruined this song for me

Yes, but at least you solved the mystery of the sound...never would have thought it was THAT!

Thank you, Mr. Given To.....stray penis by-n the sky...sometimes
  • Never noticed that before! You can now be sure I will hear it everytime I listen to the song

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying...

If they can predict Boom four years in advance, I wanna know some lotto numbers! Alas, the $380 million, or whatever it was...that drawing was tonight. Dammit.

This post reminded me... wasn't there that one Beatles song where you can hear Ringo drop a stick and someone (John) curses?

Stuff like that would show up all the time on albums. I think it gives it character.

Sounds like an extra accidental note from the main guitar line if you as me.

As others have pointed out there's little recording "flubs" like this throughout history. Several instances on Zeppelin and Beatles records.

I wish there more things like that on records. Perfect recordings are a little boring. If you dont believe me, listen to the album version of Do the Evolution and listen to the cut on PJ20. Holy shit, nothing comes close! But that's not totally fair because that's live and we all know PJ is the shit live.
