Just noticed that "Hail, Hail" has only been played in Hatford and no other show this tour to date...

If you listen to the boot, Mikey really plays up the last guitar chimes ..

I remember him holding his yellow gibson up paralllel to his body with some extra effort to keep the song going...

the boot is a good representation of that moment...

I would agree with the exception of "why go" and "garden" from the Hartford boot..

haven't got the Boston boots yet but these two songs were PERFECTION in concert at Hartford...

esecially Mikey's guitar scrawling during the intro to "Why go"..
he really played that up like the "circa 1992" era...
(something that was missing in the 2003 attempts)

How do the Boston boots of these songs sound?

    boston sounds amazing...

the crowd is insanely loud during why go on both nights
  • I love 'Hail Hail' and I'm surprised that we haven't gotten a few more this tour. It was great to hear it in Hartford though, along with 'I'm Open.'

Boston I on this tour marked the first show that I haven't seen Hail Hail at. It was a great show nonetheless, but I really dig that song.

That is my favorite part of that bootleg, I love when mike does that when he takes something pretty than makes it twisted and then pretty again. My favorite example was Manfield I in 2003 during the outro of Bushleaguer. The best at that effect was probably Mike's hero Jimi Hendrix, but damn Mike is pretty freakin good at it too!
