I just saw these guys live recently. Then I chased them down to see them live 2 more times. Absolutely amazing live. I bought their last eponymous record and every single song is solid with "Don't Break the Needle" being in the stratosphere.
They're all over youtube and their website is full of music. Do - Check - Out!

Love J Roddy, but unfortunately their live gigs have eluded me for the past two years :(

I love them and have seen them a number of times. They are going out on tour with Lucero next month which should be a killer show. I am hoping to make one or two of those.
You see me empty, Sir, do not pause and inquire, simply assume and refill.

Great band. Just saw them at SXSW. My current obsession is "Brave Man's Death."

They really don't. New album is recorded and I can't wait to hear it.

I've seen them twice... once opening for Lucero and another time headlining... both times I was blown away! They should get more hype now since they signed to ATO Records. Not just a Charm City band anymore!!

according to their facebook page they are going on hiatus

We are thrilled to announce that we’ll be returning to The National in Richmond on Saturday November 30th for our fifth annual post-Thanksgiving throwdown. (Much love to the Broadberry for hosting the last two years.) As in years past, there will be guest appearances, surprises, old stuff, other people’s stuff, and even - dare I say - shenanigans. Tickets go on sale this Friday (10/11) at noon sharp at https://www.axs.com/…/j-roddy-walston-and-the-business-tick…

But for news that might not surprise those that have noticed the dwindling show calendar and lack of any real updates from us over the last year:

This show - along with the Believe In Music Halloween benefit at the Baltimore Science Center on 10/26 - will be our last together until...who knows? There are no plans to make another album or tour at any point in 2020 or the foreseeable future. After 14 years, four albums and 889 shows of being creatively betrothed solely to each other, now feels like the time to explore other possibilities - so we’re stepping away. There will be plenty of time to talk about the last decade and a half and what comes next - and rest assured that we’ll all still be out there, and maybe even together at times.

But for now we’ve still got two more chances to Party On It like we always have and we hope you’ll be there with us.
