FS Pearl Jam oddities: the shirt off Stone's back

edited June 2012 in Lost Dogs
My first FS thread here. May not know too many people around here anymore, but i've been here since the early synergy and messgae pit incarnations. I've hung out at BRY and EB more in the last few years...Just getting back into the pearl jam and non-poster game some, starting to unearth 20 years of stuff i've been stashing like Glen Beck stashes food in his bunker. Welcome to the tip of the iceberg.

As always, all prices include expert packaging, and USPS priority shipping with delivery confirmation to the CONUS. If you're international, you'll need a shipping buddy. Insurance will be applied as i see fit, using priority provides 100 bucks up front so unless we go over that, i'll only use it on items i'm concerned about arriving intact. EDIT: DUDE AT THE POST OFFICE TOLD ME I HAVE THIS WRONG. SO LET'S JUST SAY THAT I'LL INSURE ANYTHING THAT'S WORTH MORE THAN I'M WILLING TO RI$K/LOSE IN THE MAIL i have bought and sold and packed and shipped thousands of items over the years.

no paypal gift payments, please. i prefer for us each to protect ourselves. if you just want to be nice and cover paypal fees, feel free to throw 3 to 5 extra bucks on top of your payment.

i am happy to provide pictures for anyone who wants them, just pm me an email address and what you want to see.

Items in original shipping materials will have name and addresses obscured for privacy

Just so you know, copies of commercial vinyls given to radio stations back in the day were drilled or cut with a bandsaw. in either case, these are not considered to be detrimental to condition. in fact, in some cases, they add a premium.

    bump and an addition

    raleighhandbill-2.jpg

this little gem was printed to a run of 2000 (4 up on 8.5 x 11) and placed in piles at several bars around Raleigh in advance of the 98 ticket onsale. back side has a list of local shows. i worked for the Rock radio station in town at the time, and was already a long time PJ fan. i picked up a stack of these at some show at a club that held about 2k ppl called The Ritz. i later confirmed through the promoter and the record company that these were authorized, and used art provided to the promoter by the band.

i guarantee you 99% of these ended up on bar floors or car floors. very, very few of them survive today...i only know of one other person who picked up more than one at that time, and he's sitting on what he's got left. and then there's the people that got them from me...which is a VERY small group i know in person, i assure you. there are NONE of these around.

i wish my punkazz phone camera was better, because this little handbill is not the washed out pink you see in the photo. it's a deep hot pink, almost fluorescent pink. i will endeavor to get better shots up with my regular camera soon. i have just a couple of them left...they have been stored flat, in deep cover for nearly 14 years. this would look great in a frame with, or at least alongside, those monkeys on a bike ;)

i'm not really sure what it's worth, or what to ask. i think they are important and official and historical. pm me if you want one for $20 USPS Priority with delivery confirmation shipped in the CONUS

pm me an email address if you want better/bigger pictures

    another odd acquisition....

    10/28/96 Wembley Arena London
    unused stage copy setlist

the crew member in charge of making copies of the setlist to be placed on stage and handed out to crew and security had these left over after he placed all he needed to that day. for whatever reason, he folded these extras lightly in half, and stuck them in his gear. years later, he dug them out of his closet and they came to me. wish he'd have done this for every show...

this is a near-pristine, intended to be stage-used vintage setlist. i only have 4 total, and am willing to let 2 of them go. this is not a racket. these are real. 2, and 2 only. those ppl will be asked to chime in here (as long as they're willing) to let you know that 2 real ppl bought them, and that will be it. (BOTH SOLD)

as with any item, you can pm me your email address and i'll get you bigger/better pictures

$30 shipped usps priority with delivery confirmation CONUS each

is it really a "flip" if it's been 4 years?

Ed Ved Into The Wild Ten Club Vinyl
    Sealed in Original Mailer SOLD

this one will be boxed again, not just mailed in the original mailer. and insured for the full selling price...

look, i bought this for myself. obviously it never made it out of the mailer. not selling it just to cash in (i'm still holding my benny vinyl in spite of the fact that it's worth something like 50 times what i paid for it) i just probably won't ever bust the seal on it. now, i'll also be totally honest and say i "think" that's what's in here.... checked my orders and i haven't bought anything else flat in the last 5 years. return address says "santos l halper". is there a 7 inch in there, too? i don't remember if that was part of this deal or not. if they included a bonus of some kind, you get it instead of me. bottom line is it's a first pressing straight outta compton.

ps if for some bizarre reason this turns out to not be what i said it was when you get it and open it, we'll sort it out.

Vitalogy first press/first week Vinyl $50 well packaged, safely shipped
    opened but only played once
cover VG+ (has two minor scratches on back and a dinged corner)
    vinyl MINT

EDIT: have decide to throw in the two bonus items in the photo. a 98 raleigh handbill, and a temple of the dog cassette

oh, i remember it well...back in the day the vinyl release date was a week or two earlier than the cd release date. i would talk to the indy record store dudes to make sure they held me out copies. Bought two...one still sealed to this day, and one to listen to before the cd came out. Broke it out at the radio station i worked for...me and another pj buddy listened to it in the production studio on a professional, broadcast quality turntable. vinyl went back into the sleeves, hasn't been back out in 17+ years. heck, the box it was in hasn't been gone through since it was packed up before we moved into our house, on the first day of 1999. you won't find a nicer copy of this vinyl, guaranteed.

    now with zoomable clickable thumbnailz!

    Grateful Dead Hour
    Original Radio Show #208
Broadcast Week of Sept 14, 1992
    $35 shipped
CONUS well-packed usps priority delivery confirmation

This is an incredibly rare cassette radio show, produced by Truth and Fun, Inc for David Gans, host of the Grateful Dead Hour. This cassette and j card are the ORIGINAL FIRST GEN BROADCAST TAPES sent to radio stations who aired the show. This show was played on the air once, on professional radio station broadcasting equipment, then stored in a dark, humidity controlled, non-smoking storage area (my closet) for 20 years. Unfortunately, i cannot find the original cue sheets, but the rundown is easily found online, and shown below.

    Part 1 29:29
    In cue:
:00 7:36 Grateful Dead 5/19/77 Fox Theatre, Atlanta

    30:31 :10 Pause

    Part 2 24:41
In cue: And now, here are some scenes from next week's...
    30:41 :36 Introduction
