It's June now and no hint of a summer tour. I'm very happy for our European friends this summer... however... I thought for sure that there would be a NA tour this summer... I wasn't expecting a full tour like last summer... but... all we get is an appearance at Lolla? Seriously?

I have extra money in savings just waiting to be used to buy tix and merch! The pennies in interest I am earning don't make up for the increasing feelings of despondency!

Fall tour maybe?

One last word:

Aargh!

ah well, you'll have to settle for one of the other 300 bands that are world legends that will undoubtedly tour NA next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try waiting 6 years for a concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Haha, yeaaah, pretty much.

However, in Europe everything is fairly close together... so taking those proportions into consideration, having two tours, two years in a row isn't so bad either. Sure, they didn't play a proper London gig last year. Sure, it's always nice to see a band on your home turf. Still, many fine folk (such as wash_), managed to make it to a few other non-local shows, without having to cross an ocean. Yes they've played N.A. extensively, but I think after this month's tour, things are evened out a bit. Living in the south of the US, or more so in Canada, has seen worse drawbacks. Ok, us Canadian got spoiled in '05, but I still drove 6,800 km to see six shows. 2005 aside, I generally have to make it a 2,400 km+ trip to see them ( approx. distances for me to places like Missoula, the Gorge, Seattle, Vancouver, Fargo). Anyway, just my two p.

I'm sure you guys will get 'yours' in due course. You have to remember how 'starved' Europe has been of live Pearl Jam over the years-to the point that Ed was pretty much embaressed at Reading last year by the reaction the crowd gave the band. He said something like "we have no right to recieve this kind of welcome". I think the band realised how loyal Europe was last year (1st time for 6 years don't forget !), and that's why were getting spoiled this year. I'm sure you'll get your share soon enough guys, and then hopefully they'll come back to Europe to record a new record and play gigs every week! Love, JamieUK.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....
