I caught a few of these on Investigation Discovery, and really liked them.

Some of the stuff is downright mad. I mean, how far off was "Men Who Stare At Goats"??

I've studied them a little bit. Did a paper on CIA interaction with Southeast Asia during the Cold War.

you hear the news journalists on tv use the word, "cells" when talking about terrorists

the united states government has this exact structure amongst itself and its military. it goes deep and dark and one hand does not know the other yet function as a well oiled machine. scary and down right mysterious. there are so many ins and outs to this bullshit game that you cannot keep up if you tried. dead ends and twists and cover ups and people vanish, entire events vanish.

they are unstoppable because they do not exist ;)

The question for this country is that a good thing not being held accountable in the name of secrecy?

Must've been tough to deal with that at such a young age...to have had to hold on to and keep such secrets. Heavy burden for a kid, for sure. Hell, for anyone.

My dad too did some intelligence work on behalf of the US during/after WWII. But, he never shared any of it with us.

i may have been 12...maybe. there are several reasons he elected to fill me in on a few things. for instance...if men in black got rid of him one morning on his way to work, he figured that his oldest son should know why. this is what makes sense to me.
