Why No Seniority For E.V. Shows?

Has 10c ever explained why no seniority for Ed shows?

the venues are so much smaller. from what i understand, you'll be able to see the stage no matter where you are.

I don't think it's been said "officially." The theory is that only PJ shows get the seniority treatment because of the larger venues and the fact that this is the PJ fan club and not the EV, Brad, Three Fish, Tres. Mts, etc. fan club.

You can generally see the stage no matter the size of the venue, but closer is still better

I did feel sort of shafted at Vancouver 08. I was at the back of the 10c section. So when we were all waiting in line for tickets all these people kept coming out with great tickets then mine were mediocre At least I got in though.

I'm guessing it probably because its not a PJ show. I'm also guessing its because of the small allocation they get. I remember for the PJ show in 02 at Key Arena. It was sort of last minute so the 10c only got a small allocation of tickets. They did the entire thing by lottery. So I won the lottery to win the chance to buy tickets, then I scored row 5 (probably because there were so few tickets). It's the closest I've ever been at a PJ show.

So I both gained and lost from lotteries.... I'm not really sure where i'm going with this

10C is the Pearl Jam fan club. Not the EV solo fan club. Why should PJ fan club members get seniority over someone who doesn't listen to PJ but is all over EV's work, but only since his first album in 2007, and that's why they joined 10C? I'm surprised there is even a 10C pre-sale, actually. That doesn't seem fair to me.

Yeah, well, as a long time mega fan but a new 10C member, I actually seriously ask this question. I've invested just as much time in loving the band, and spent just as much on albums and everything, but now that I am a member, I get shafted and will for years and years to come just because I didn't register until this year. Doesn't seem fair to me! I think it should be a lottery all the time for all seats! I guess those with low membership numbers would strongly disagree with me, lol.

No, but they don't have to. It's obviously the way Eddie wants it. I'm just glad they have a presale for 10C members.

I just can't wait for the day when first 15 rows are sold VIP. This board will be the most self righteous and fun place on Earth.

Most likely - promoters like to give the best seats away to the re-sale market anyway

Surely how 10c sort their tickets out has nothing to do with the venue? 10c get issued their tickets from the venue and if 10c want to do seniority or not for those tickets then that is their decision and no-one elses?

As others have said, its because the venues are so small and pretty much every seat is a good view.

Oh but that's just it - look at what you said - 10C gets issued their tickets from the venue/promoter. They're not going to give them the best seats in the house...PJ's 10C fan seats are a rarity in the industry. I'm sure that they have to do quite a bit of haggling just to get the seats they do get, you know?
