People would not believe it, and he'd probably be put to death even quicker this time by people that don't want their beliefs shattered. People have been interpreting the will and word of their God(s) for too long and probably couldn't accept the "true" word.
What if tomorrow humankind learned definitively that it was not alone, unique or special in the universe?0 -
then they would suddenly have an ungodly budget (several billions) to do research on this new 'species' and want to see how they could incorporate said species into modern day society without thinking 'maybe they want to be left alone'.
