Carrots, sticks, or Pearl Jam?

Music is a strong motivator, no doubt. Five times a week a take my PJ-loaded iPod to the gym and I'm invincible! Exercise can be a chore, but I actually look forward to workouts with my tunes in tow. Sunday's rotation: No Code and Riot Act. The changeup in tempos, the balance in all of Pearl Jam's albums keeps it interesting. And when you're aching and out of breath, there's nothing like a powerful song to pull you through. I was on the elliptical yesterday, ear buds in, eyes closed, head swaying back and forth--totally into 'Save You'. (It's hard to supress that urge to sing out loud). I wonder if people think I've lost it, or if they even really notice at all?!

Nothing beats gettin' sweaty to Pearl Jam.

That being said, how does Pearl Jam motivate you?

Perfect tempo for my runs. No Code definitely gets me through those tough hills! Somehow Lukin always works well when I need something extra at the very end of my run. Those 2 albums will be my playlist for my 10K tomorrow :)
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...
