What are the Ten Club Benefits?

roymcdroymcd Posts: 31
edited March 2012 in The Porch
I have been Ten Club member for years now and usually it is fine. I get that servers crash and sometimes people cant get tickets because of it. Happens...

What doesn't usually happen is 2 tickets for Eddies Solo concert to be $284.0. That 142 a person. When did this start to happen.

Why is paying for 10C costing me more to go to gigs...... where are the benefits ....

That little Orphan Annie asked some very parallel questions.

I mean, it seems very unfair that you can't see Pearl Jam.

    I completely understand.

Ticket probably has something to do with the Euro, since the shows are in Europe, but tickets for ten club members are purchased in USD, so there has to be some currency issues there.

I'm just curious how I just renewed my membership, but still haven't received my holiday single or deep magazine from last year yet!

Ten Club benefits and Eddie Vedder tickets are mutually exclusive, but you have every right to be curious as to why Eddie Vedder tickets are priced at $142 per person.

To bee honest, what did you think they would cost. Tickets for most PJ/EV related events have been over $100 lately. $142 is a lot, but you won't regret it.

I am shocked, really shocked. I didn't see this coming, but being in Europe I never even looked to see how much his solo shows were in the States. Were they this much? I can't believe how expensive. Not saying it's not worth it and all, but that is crazy expensive.

Crazy expensive, indeed. I just got tix for Brian Jonestown Massacre the night after PJ in Amsterdam and tix were €12.50 each. Now that's what I'm talkin' about! :D

Agreed. After the show though, I never once cared about the price.

Same here. Money comes & money goes. You'll never forget being happy after coming out of that theatre that Ed just performed for you. It's pretty much a costly safe drug for the heart. :)

best part of being a member is that no matter what the 10club does to try to make us happy, we can enjoy all the complaining and bitching that goes on about the band touring, not touring, announcements about tours and shows, ticket sales, merchandise, charging stations, on and on.

I've seen Ed solo twice now, and I thought I paid around 140 for 2 tickets. I would have a hard time paying 142 for 1 ticket if that's really the price. I don't have that kind of money laying around to spend on this at the time. It may be easy to say price was worth it after you go to the show, if you have that kind of money laying around. However this doesn't apply to everyone here. Some people simply can't afford these prices, and I feel bad for those people. If these are prices per ticket, I have a feeling the people who can't afford the tickets anymore will start to become the majority here.

Who knows though, I could be wrong and I'm just really poor compared to the rest of you?

Having seen him, it's worth it if you can afford it, not if you have to make important sacrifices. Have fun to everyone attending and good luck with the tickets.

The issue people have with this is he is charging 2 x what the band were charging to play in Amsterdam, and a full $50 per head than London.

The venue is half the size of the halls in England so I guess he needs to charge more to get the same return for his nights work.

We can all gripe/speculate but at the end of the day nobody makes us click the buy button. If it didn't sell out they'd realise it was too expensive.
