Alive on Eastbound and Down

I'm not sure how many people watch it. It's kind of an under the radar show. It's a about an a-hole ex major league baseball pitcher.

Anyways at the end of the last ep his best friend died of a coke overdose. In this weeks ep he crashed the funeral. At the end of his horrible speak, he says this was his favorite song and cranks Alive on the boom box. Total prick move to do, but thats why his Character is entertaining.

Was pretty stoked to here some unexpected PJ on tv. It seems to happen now and again. They must be a bit more liberal with their musc rights (but at least is never in ads!)

    I thought that was hilarious. Awesome song choice, and I'm glad PJ let them use the song. Danny McBride, or the show producers, or both, seem to have a great taste in music.

    Just started watching all of these recently and caught the Alive episode last night...FANTASTIC!!! If you aren't easily put off by crude humor, and you enjoy Danny McBride, Will Ferrell, etc. then you have to watch this show!

    It's a quick watch as there are only six, seven, and eight 30-minute episodes in each of the first 3 seasons (accordingly).

    4th and final season premiers on HBO on 9/29.

    Too funny.

    It's an awesome show. Haven't watched if for a while, but I would recommend it to anyone. Reminds me of a combination of Trailer Park Boys and Arrested Development.
