love kerouac. love the motorcycle diaries. love sam riley. i know kristen stewart isnt just bella from the twilight films. heck even viggo mortensen pops up in it... how wrong could it go??? cant wait.

    looks pretty good... I've been meaning to give that book a read, so I suppose it would be good to read before the movie.

    It was supposed to be this classic book, I couldn't even get through, it was BORING as hell

    i think, and this doesnt just go for on the road, that it depends on where you are in your own life when it comes to reading books as to how you recieve them and the impact they have on you. i also think how you came to read them can affect you also. compulsory reading is a pain in the arse.. no one should be forced to read any book they dont really want to. i know within the education system this happens on all levels. if you read a particular book in isolation, and by that i mean without any companion books or as is the case with on the road without knowing the supporting cast, without knowing anything about anyone within kerouacs extended world, it can lose a bit of shine. tho having said that even with all the supporting cast and their own works, the book read may still be boring as hell. and thats ok... we all dont have to love the same books... thatd make for a very boring world. 8-)
