i thought id lost this one.. fortunately i was mistaken.


benjamin and victoria were in a band
he played drums while she sang
after awhile they decided some songs might be nice
so they asked victoria's brother to play guitar, they didnt have to ask twice
now jonah had visions and played like the devil
he had a sweet sweet voice but man he was trouble
he drank and he swore and he fucked all the girls
and might it be added, some of the boys
but when he and his sister with ben on the drums
played in the basement, twas a whole lot of fun
after bottles of vodka drunk down by the boys
and a bottle of gin emptied by vicky
the idea of a band got frightfully sticky
jonah got drunk, he got stoned and he played
with 6 strings, a needle and a girl he quite often laid
but benjaimn grew tired as he watched all this from his kit
and he waited for his friend to really get bit
then on a rain soaked spring afternoon it happened
he awoke to the sounds of the phone ringing
and the black angels singing ironically enough
the album was called directions to seeing a ghost
and from what he was told he was about to see just that
jonah was found blue and cold tied off on the bathroom tiles
victoria knelt beside her brother and lightly held his hand
knowing it was way too late and doubting whether shed be able to stand
she heard bens voice call her baby and felt his hands on her skin
they both cried for her brother
and a life never started let alone
a race he ever could have won
