There's just those certain days when "Long Road" and "I Got ID" finds its place... Such a beauty of two gems when saved for the right time...

I remember buying this when it first came out, I had no idea it was being released (pre internet days!), I found it in the local record shop after school - what a find! Still love both songs.

I heard of this release on MTV Latin America and went for it, I found it the very same day on CD, the vinyl got it from the bay on2010, and the Merkin Ball CD I got along with the Alive in the Superunknown EP... don't know why I still don't have Mirror ball... only downloaded it...

was working in a record store when this was released. I remember checking the system for any new releases from my favorite bands. one day this just popped up in the system. had no idea if it was an album, single, ep or what at the time. Probably my favorite 1-2 punch by Pearl Jam. Two awesome new songs that carried the same vibe... the best 2 songs that came out of the MirrorBall sessions (sorry Neil) and that is saying a lot because I love that album.

Absolutely agree. Both songs are amongst my very favourites, hope to see them live one day!

One of my favorite things PJ has ever released. I Got Shit is an all time favorite for me! So good on vinyl.

I once had a local pub that had 'I got Shit' on the jukebox - good times.
Always odd that my favourite bit of Pearl Jam guitar was played by Neil, but it does sound just as good without him when played live.

I am lucky to have heard both songs live. Long road was the first song at my first show.

Heard I got shit at my second show.

Great little album to accompany Mirrorball.

I always thought that Merkinball was a perfect little record. Two great songs that sound great together (and probably wouldn't have stood out as well if they'd been on an album).

It'd be great if PJ released something else like this in the future - a 2 track single/EP would be a perfect place for something like Of The Earth for example. It may not 'fit' in the context of an album so why not highlight it on its own release?

I remember a rumor floating around at the time that Merkinball was supposed to be a double ALBUM, and I was like 'No, it's two songs, you weirdo.'

Same here. The sound of Jack's drums really makes Long Road special.

Definitely two of my favorites as well. I Got ID I got at my 9th show and Long Road at my 13th. Love both songs.

I remember when our Sony rep brought this in. I was working that night and we blared it after close.
