The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols
Sweet dude. I scored the green toothpaste vinyl of that 95 Soldier Field show a month or so ago. That was a HUGE score for me. It was sealed and everything

I had the red one but didn't like the sound. Is the green one better? That's why I went after the cd set instead. And plus, it has the full show!

I saw that auction. I think I had beat you a couple weeks ago for the CD someone was selling cheap on here. Works out since I had the tape already. And if it makes you feel better, I overpaid for the tape a while back, so you ended up winning in the long run.

I figured the guy before me was after that and could not believe I got it. Now I if can find a '91 Christmas single, a RVM vinyl and a Benny set for that price I'll be all set!
Nice pickups - I still think those are two of the most "iconic" PJ collectibles since they are pretty much the first main promos.
As for the Soldier Field sets -- I dont know how the green sounds compared to the red, but the mint green one is the official version and the other colors to come out since (red, yellow, etc) are boots of that. I dont know how that changes the sound, but I'd imagine it would change it at least a little.

How do you truly know it is the green toothpaste vinyl if it is sealed, outside of opening it up? Not trying to be a smart ass, just I got a sealed one too thats is supposed green toothpaste vinyl, but just like the white Backspacer and people pawning off a black saying it is a white...Only to open it and find that got a $19 black one...Is there truly any defining features that you can pick off to say that it is an original mint green vs. spun off colored vinyl that sell for $35...Jacket marking, color on jacket...anything....Always that small voice in my head asking...Let me know if you know anything...

I hear ya....but you missed the part that was underlined in my post that said it "WAS" sealed, which I meant to imply the past tense. Before opening, I too had lingering doubts about it's true color. It helped that I bought it off of a reputable trader from here who seemed assured it was green since he got it from the actual distributors of the legit green ones, back before the fake copies began showing up. He also mentioned that is was likely that the fake copies were not sealed although I think they could swing that if they wanted to...
As for sound, it sounds like a decent rip from an FM broadcast, obviously lacks the punch of a soundboard recording but I can tell you that a fake red copy of Temple o' the Dog sounds somewhat crappy so it reasons that sound quality would detiorate on these Soldier Field copies/boots
