Man, these guys are fuckin insane.
Aside from pearl jam i cant think of a better live band. Any fans ?

    I still haven't been able to catch any of their shows, so I guess I can't comment. Their bootlegs however sound pretty awesome though.

    Saw the "Big 4" last year at Knebworth (Sonisphere) - Slayer were immense and easily the best band of the day.

    Seeing them in May at All Tomorrows Parties performing Reign in Blood in full :twisted: supported by WITTR, Melvins and Sleep - can't wait!!

    I'm a fan (not a huge one), but they are great live. I've seen them a few times I think. Once at Ozzfest '99. Extreme Steel Tour w/ Pantera, Static-X , Morbid Angel and a another band or two. And once w/Soulfly? in '02 i think? Although that show I wasn't really into them. My stomach was hurting after the first band and sat towards the back drinking water. :(

    Slayer is awesome. I had the extremely fortunate experience of seeing them in 2006 in SLC. It was a live, surprise Myspace show. The excitement level was off the charts having a surprise show like that. The bill was Thine Eyes Bleed, Children of Bodom, Mastodon, & Slayer.

    I've never seen a building that small erupt into such chaos as it did when they began playing "Raining Blood."

    Just for the record, Mastodon (playing mostly tracks from Remission and Leviathan) put on an unforgettable performance.

    I love Slayer! I've seen them about 10-12 times over the years. The first time was September 1990 at Toad's Place in New Haven. It was a few weeks before Seasons in the Abyss came out and they did a week-long club tour on the East Coast called "A Week In The Abyss." ( I still have the tshirt...somewhere.) White Zombie opened the show and was excellent. Nevertheless, fans were yelling out for Slayer. Ya gotta love Slayer fans. :mrgreen:
