European fans on tour

So far it has been awesome meeting so many Euro fans from so many different countries all around the continent. It has been great meeting Americans, Brazilians & Mexicans as well. But I'm so happy that so many of us are really taking the opportunities to see the band around our continent. Love all you Irish, Northern-Irish, Scottish, English, German, Dutch, Belgian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian & Swiss I have met so far. Hope to see many more in Italy!

Seriously, this tour is so much fun. And it hasn't even really started (Italy). :)

    What a nice thread. As Ed would say, lets raise a toast... to all the wonderful fans around the world that make the shows what they are. I don't want this tour to end.

    The best is seeing the people you met at one gig over and over again! Lots of fun - can make lovely new friends that way!

    Last night was awesome. Suddenly half an hour before My Morning Jacket got on, I get tapped on the shoulder. "Hey, here's my Belgian friend I was next to at the Antwerp gig. How are you?"

    Then that Irish guy "damn, you look so familiar to me. I think I was next to you in Dublin"

    Then that Canadian guy "hey, you're wearing a Canadian PJ T-shirt. That's awesome. Are you Canadian? No? Belgian? Ow, you're the Belgian guy who made it over! I remember you. We met you in Hamilton!"

    I love those moments. :)

    I love these moments too. PJ fans clearly ARE the best.

    Cant wait to meet you all in Verona, Milan and on the Prague-Zagreb leg.

    We truly are amazing. Defnitely met some amazing ppl in Canada last year :)

    Oh yeah!!!! It's just in the US, none of their shows (maybe a few exceptions?) are GA. GA is fun!

    A friend of the family was in Verona a few weeks ago and took a tour of the arena... The guide said at one point that if it rains during one of the classical shows then that show is cancelled... I'm seriously hoping thats just for the classical stuff otherwise there's gonna be some seriously disapointed people - me included.

    'If it rains before the opera begins, you get a refund. After the first note - tough luck. The rain hit when we were there about a third of the way thru the last act of Aida. You never saw anyone move so fast carrying so much as the harpists and bassists when the rain was hitting their instruments. Licitra’s voice had not even died out and they were already off the stage. And if it does rain, you will get wet trying to get out. Italians don’t do lines well.'
