Lazy in the night comes the flesh and bones of distant memories
Walking slowly thru the door like the ghost of desire here forever more
Invested and etched in stone the body and soul I can’t let go
.
Legends and flights of fancy together do a ritual dance around the chandelier
Hanging in the empty ballroom created and dreamed of by the lonely at heart.

What exactly will I do
My thoughts are left to wildly fly in the wind chasing ghosts and closing my eyes
Somewhere in between what’s right and wrong foot steps stop and angels cry
I try so hard to feel the other side and sometimes feel it was made for me.

Empty glasses left on tables catch the rain that in spite of the sun fall gracefully down
Thru a journey I remember and into the glasses my mind will not let me forget
The storms at sea that once filed the glass with the rain of which I drank.

The ghosts I chase I follow into night just to see the angels in my mind
The colors of her kiss paint a picture of the past
Tell me now the affection and desire is a ship caught in winds of storms at sea
Already I’ve come to feel the touch and see the fragile smile of an angel with wings no one else can see.

I close my eyes only for a while to see the ghost of an angel as brave as the night
And drift away slowly into the arms of a dream that no one else can see
Then softly comes the flesh and bones of distant memories into my mahogany bed.
