I was a huge Boy Meets World fan growing up and years later - after knowing who The Monkees were - I watched the episode where Davy, Mickey, and Peter appeared in an episode and then knew who they were.

    Reg, Reginald Fairfield!

journey on Davy you are a sweet soul

I feel the same way. I was a huge Beatles fan, but the Monkees were a guilty pleasure for me. Plus I always considered Daydream Believer to be my song (my name is Jean).

Oh, I LOVED that song... boy, that brought me back to happy childhood memories of watching that show...

and, of course, doing The Monkees walk with friends. As recently as last summer...

Catwoman, you are right. He was a sweet soul.

    :( RIP

Wish I could take credit, but Pandora said that he was a sweet soul. I just agreed with her.

    I loved The Monkees! :(

When I was about 10 The Monkees were staying at the same hotel as us. We were looking over the balcony towards the tennis court and my brother (18 at the time) said "that's Davy! Scream out to him". I thought he was bullshitting but screamed out "Davy!!" anyway and he looked up and waved. I was so happy! He was like a superstar to me at the time! haha

Aw shit :( I used to have a crush on him, too. My sister and I would race home to watch Monkees repeats on tv after school. Too bad :(

The TODAY show had Mickey on...he said they all thought he'd be the last to go since he was the youngest and really healthy...his wife is 33. Damn he could still get the ladies!

The Monkees made staying home sick from school a lot funner.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I saw Mickey (he is so cool, love him). Tonight David Cassidy is going to be on one of those entertainment shows to discuss Davy's death. I was such a fan of his! now don't laugh too hard, I am older than you guys.

davy's wife is 33? one of his daughters was born in 1971 and one in 1968 from previous marriages.
