While its tough to pick out a favorite neil album, they all are classic, this is an unlikely and unorthodox choice, but this one Sleeps with Angels from 94, is up there for me. Its dark and depressing as hell, and hugely influenced by how Neil was dealing with the, then recent, suicide of Kurt, and how they will be forever linked because of Kurt quoting Neil in the suicide note.

Its a sad album, but some great stuff is on there. The chilling Drive By. The epic jam of Change your Mind. The brutal and scary Prime of Life.

I agree that this record is brilliant.

I always hear people say that about the tie in with Kurt, but from all I've read of the album, a huge chunk of it was written and recorded before Kurt called it quits. I was under the impression that only the title track, and a few lines here and there were related to Kurt's suicide.

The album reminds me of Tonights the Night, with its darker tone. Good stuff.
    Peace, Love.
