WZRD (Kid Cudi's new album)

Anyone check this out? I listened to it last night and was surprised how good it was. Lyrically it was a little lame but the music itself was pretty great. It's supposed to be Cudi's "rock" album. But not like that trash Lil Wayne did. Its much more of a dark, trippy alternative album. Little to no rapping on it. Supposedly he learned guitar a year ago and wrote the music on it, with another guy on the album.

He even covered "where did you sleep last night", the song Nirvana covered on unplugged, and did a pretty good job on it.

I'll have to check this out. I tend to either love or hate his stuff. He definitely has a cool direction and very talented. I was actually introduced to him through a "Pursuit of Happiness" cover by Lissie which by the way kicks ass.

I've heard that cover.....really good. Dont know anything about her music though.

Her covers are great. I would say check out "Everywhere I Go" as a song to start w/ from her. She's much better live and raw and or stripped down than on her polished album. Much like Ellie Goulding. Here's some double penetration for you.

no one here likes kid cudi? I think hes one of the better main stream "rap artists" out there. I say rap artists because hes not really a rapper. His influences are pretty good and the guys got some real respectable talent. Hell, he learned guitar for almost 2 years just to record this album. I dont know of any other rappers learning guitar to do an album.
