Not sure if there are any Neville Brothers fans here on the pit? Hello!
With the upcoming New Orleans Jazzfest Eddie Vedder show I thought I'd start a thread

Seeing this band play to their hometown crowd will be on par with Ed's show, imo
Also can't wait for Aaron's gospel tent show

I know Ed gets Art Neville's side group, The Meters...not that his opinion really matters...

Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead and his Nola-based band mates in 7 Walkers will perform with the hot new band Royal Southern Brotherhood featuring Cyril Neville and Devon Allman. So there will be a former Grateful Dead member, with a Neville and an Allman on this show. In addition, Zion Rock Godchaux (son of former Grateful Dead members Keith & Donna Godchaux) will close out the night with his underground electronica meets psychedelic rock band BoomBox.

Love the Nevilles. They put on a phenomenal show wherever they are. Saw them at the Jazz Festival in Saratoga 20 years ago and to this day, it's the single best set I ever saw there. I also saw them at a free concert in smallbany a bunch of years ago and had a beer with Cerille (sp?) (he had a soda or something) at the hotel we shared after. Great show, also.

Seeing them in NOLA would be awesome.

As someone who spent five years in New Orleans, of course I love the Neville Brothers.

But, in all honesty, I'm more partial to the Meters...Art, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter & Zigaboo...gotta love that N'awlins fonk!
