(Please endure the 30 sec of commercials to hear Kelly and Owen's story)

This is a dear friend of mine whose son is battling ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia). ALL has a very high cure rate (as in gone and never return cure) in children when treated with methotrexate, a very cheap, generic drug that US drug manufactures no longer make because the profit margin is too low. There is a huge shortage of this cheap drug but drugs costing $3000-$6000 per dose a readily available. Please take time to write your congressman and help get this methotrexate shortage resolved.

According to this article some progress is being made but letters, yes! It's been said every letter send represents the voice of 100 others.

  • Thanks for your help, brianlux. We live in an age of 24hr news cycles. We have to keep the pressure on the manufacturers. If y'all would post Owen's story on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Mybutt, or whatever forum you prefer, it all helps.

Here is Owen's Wish facebook page. You can follow up on his story here.
