Rollin' down quietly like a hose on sloping driveway
bits and pieces of truth are getting the cement wet
I'm feeling too glad to let these extra dollies get me down
let 'em imagine they're winning their petty games
(especially since I'm not bothering to fight with them)
I don't think they've read enough history!
(Do they know any?!)
I don't know what they think they're gonna get for their trouble
I accomplish more pullin' my own weeds and planting my own flowers
keeping my mind on a good creative track whereas
this flimsy "competition," it don't know that it's all shadow boxing
despite the annoyance it sometimes causes because of it's obvious attempts,
it's slightly amusing
