I know it's a little late in the game to be planning something like this but is there anyone out there from the New York area interested in going ? Camping out the weekend and seeing both shows? If so let me know i'm seriously thinking about it ........ my concern is getting the equipment you need to camp on the plane.........and where do we get food/drinks/beer ....TICKETS etc... but i've done some crazy things before and am willing to live a little....... any other crazy fans out there?

i'm actually just about to do the same thing... tix seem easy enough to get as are flights.

the whole camping thing is somewhat troubling though... anyone know if you can just sleep in your car so you dont have to pack all crazy stuff and carry it on the plane?

  • I'm doing it too! Will book my ticket this week. I don't know anything about camping either but the plane and tickets look possible. I think I might try to borrow a tent and bring it along. I'm excited to try and see what comes of it anyway.

My plan is to get to Seattle on friday and check it out (i've never been). Perhaps we can share rides, cars, hotel and the like. All while jamming out...

I'm driving to the Gorge from Los Angeles, If anyone wants a ride from LA or maybe even around Seattle, I'd be more than happy to give anyone a ride. I just wanna split gas costs a little cause it's gonna hurt pretty bad.

You can sleep in your car if you can stand that. Camping is priced per car or RV/camper...

one more question... is premier camping worth it? Says you can get into the venue earlier than other GAs that dont have premier camping...

Any thoughts on that? I'm sure I'll be G.A. at least one of the 2 days if not both (looks like sitting higher up with the view is just as cool if not cooler than being on the floor in all honesty!)

im going out from CT but ill be gone for 3 weeks.

going to olympic national park for a while, then down for all 3 SF shows, then back up for the sox/mariners game, the gorge shows, glacier national park for a while, then coming back on 28th for dmb @meadows

not gonna be a cheap trip once you factor in gas, rental car, hotels, all the tickets....but i think it will be a great time. As of right now i am gonig solo as most of my friends have bailed due to lacking a) sense of adventure b) vacation time or c) moneys

My god, that's an intense trip to do by yourself. Careful out in the Olympic National Forest. Some chick fell off a cliff and laid on the beach with 2 broken legs for 3 days before someone found her. It was just in the news.

wow that is a big trip you have got there.... you will have the time of your life I'm sure!

I'm coming from further than CT and NY! I'm coming over 4 the LA forum show night 2 than going up for both gorge shows. My airfare from Adelaide, Australia cost me a shitload but this is going to be worth my while...

    thats excellent

was that taken from the lawn or reserved seating?

wish they had panned out to show the gorge too....

do they allow camcorders at these shows?
  • I think it's so great all you guys are making huge trips to see Pearl Jam :D It shows just how passionate us PJ fans are ;) AND what an amazing live band Pearl Jam is

I've gone to 5 shows this Spring...

Irving Plaza (had to stand on line @ the Village Tower records for 8 hours and I WORK for Tower records! :p) It was amazing to be @ that show! :o

Both Tweeter Camden shows, both excellent as well AND I got the ALIVE guy tattooed on my arm between shows :D And they played BLACK & ALIVE for me that day ;)

Both Continental shows, with an old PJ friend, they kicked ass, Indifference... sweeeet!! :D but I started to get sad realizing I had no more PJ shows after Saturday so....

Me and my girl were going to go on this trip driving across country to Denver 1st (visiting my friend also a PJ fan) and a friend in Sacramento, so I decided to check PJ dates on the west coast (timeframe mid july) and San Fran & most Cali dates were gone & then I notice @ the bottom "Camping for Pearl Jam" I check out the Gorge stuff, camping, the beautiful scenery & check for tickets & there they are and my girl said yes & I bought the tickets!! :D

It's going to be a hell of a trip... for ALL of us! :p I hope all you 10C people out there traveling across country like me and my girl have a great time, have lots of good luck & be safe ;)

    CAN'T WAIT!!! :p See ya there!!! :D
Oh, if I knew where it was, I would take you there, but there's much more than this.
Ooooh. Whoooa, much more than this. Woooh see the world. Much more than... Oooh, much more than.. Why?

I think I just might have to make the trip out to the Gorge. It sucks knowing there's more tour dates and NJ2 would be my last show for a while. Also, with no opening band for either Gorge show, there's not a doubt in my mind these shows will be epic and well worth the trip.

a few weeks ago when i bought my gorge tickets there were no 2 night premiere camping passes available so i had to buy the 3 night one....might be cheaper to buy a 2 night pass on ebay than pay the extra 60 bucks for the 3rd night from TM....but of course i didnt think about that before buying mine :)
