To Those Who Attended Both 10/3/05 and MSG-II 2008

As I listened to the boot of the MSG II 2008 last night, I realised that I may have a new "favorite" show I attended. Up til now, I have always listed 10/3/05 as my all time fave, but this may have changed. I'm still letting the "after show glow" wear off before I make up my mind.
So for those of you who attended both shows, which ranks higher for you?

I was at both. Philly by a mile for me (and not just because of the "rarities"). This MSG boot is great but it's brand new. every new boot of a show you attended is your favorite for a little while. I was at both MSG shows this year and thought the first was much better....so I'd be hardpressed to compare MSG 2 to Philly '05.
it's also worth noting that the Philly show was the only PJ show I saw that year and MSG 2 this year was the fourth in like 7 nights for me. so of course MSG 2 just couldn't seem as special as Philly '05

DAMN! How's that for a first show, huh? The lottery at MSG is sweet as well! That's some serious fortune right there.
I agree with that premise. Philly '05 was a last minute decision for me. I ducked outta' work, drove home to grab a cooler and some beer, and went to Philly without a ticket in my hand or someone to share it with. I missed the AC shows, and wasn't going to miss the only other local show. Some nice fans sold me a seat behind the stage at cost, we tailgated, and I had a great view to one hell of a show. One of the best choices I've ever made.
MSGII had some interesting takes on classic songs, some great guest appearences, and I was lucky to be surrounded by fans who were truly into the show. I worshiped Ace Frehley as a kid (I'm 34 now), and have been HUUUGE into the Ramones since high school, so those guys showing up in their musical "hometowns" was a pleasant surprise for me.
I'll have this one figured out in a couple of years.
