Pearl Jam & U2's itinerary overlap

Just how much of U2's re-scheduling was done with Pearl Jam in mind? It seems curious to me that two of the bigger touring bands in the world would line-up dates in such proximity.

I think Pearl Jam's dates were first to be released, but surely both bands are thinking they'll cross paths before they get to Hawai'i.

What does everyone here think? Take a look at the dates (PJ are listed first)and take some educated guesses about when they'll appear together during this swing through the Pacific Rim.

That's what I was thinking. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, cause I'll be Down Under that week to see Pearl Jam and U2/Kanye.

PJ and U2 also scheduled shows close to each other last year in Toronto. PJ (or was it just Eddie?) made a special guest appearance at U2's show, so Bono reciprocated by singing along to PJ's cover of Neil Young's "Rockin in the Free World" during their show at ACC. It was great, even if no one could make out what Bono was singing. :D
