Am making lasagne this afternoon for a birthday party that I'm hosting at my house tonight. Was grating romano cheese and ran my fingertips thru the grater. Blood everywhere. Pain. I think my fingerprints have been altered now.Typing with just my left hand cuz my right hand is about to fall off! I know - I should have paid more attention to what I was doing! My thoughts are that the cheese grater has got to be the most dangerous kitchen utensil EVER.

I think this is the most dangerous...I won't get one because I know Mr. RK would show off and not use the finger guard and take his fingertips off.

I've lost a finger tip or 2 to the mandolin and that is definitely worse than the grater. The grater is painful, but the mandolin takes it

If it had not already been posted I was going to say 'this'

I use mine to cut the jicama for Jicama Ahi Tacos (the thin slices of jicama replace the taco) and always think 'this will hurt if......' -- and I own a super set of japanese one piece knives, I like to work with sharp stuff.

Be careful where you put that in the kitchen - could be one of the most dangerous places to wield such a utensil.
    The wooden spoon, of course....

My mom whooped my ass with a wooden spoon when I was a kid for mouthing off.

They're pretty useful in the kitchen too.
