That's a shame. Gary was a good guy. I was lucky enough to work on a piece about his daughter while she was at FSU and we got to hang out with him for a bit. He's a super nice guy. R.I.P. kid.
  • Damn, I had not heard he was sick. The Kid - gone too soon. RIP.

I have to say as much as i detested the 1986 Mets all year GC was one player I respected. I didn't like him BUT I respected his play, smile and enthusiasm for the game.

I believe he was coaching a few miles from my home at Palm Beach Atlantic. great guy took far too long to get into HOF but he got in rightfully so.

Peace, Rest In It GC rose.gif

Same shit as my old man too, dude. He was 60. Same cancer that killed Bobby Murcer and Tug McGraw. What a fucking piece of shit it is.

Wow, couldnt even tell that was him.

Terrible news. Those 80's Mets team were the reason I became interested in baseball. The organization today is a shell of its former self.
And so you see, I have come to doubt
All that I once held as true
    I stand alone without beliefs
The only truth I know is you.
