hey everyone...

i'm in a band (Cluthe/Lee) & we're thinking about releasing our 3rd album on vinyl later this year. the thing is....well, the cost. holy crap. everywhere we look online, the prices are insane! can you guys suggest any places that will do this for a reasonable price?

thanks for any/all help!!

these guys do a lot of work for smaller bands/labels.

i see they are doing a special $2K for 500 12" records. It's not "cheap" but if you're looking at that quantity $4 a pop ain't bad. the price includes mastering, plating and full color jacket. $100 more for color

    piratespress.com

if that is out of your range maybe give 'em a call and see what else they can offer.
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”

That's a great deal!!! And if you know you can sell all 500 you will make money on the deal.

You cold always just make a 7" single to cut down the price and put an unreleased B Side on it. Gauge the interest in your vinyl wihtout breaking the bank and then press the album. That way you will make your money back plus some extra towards the full record.

that is a great deal!! we'll check them out. we'd probably need to do a smaller run, though. $2K is a lot of money. thanks for the info!

@RedMos22---we thought about doing that as well, but we figured if we're going to have to shell out a lot for the 7", we might as well press the whole album.

if you have Ed's number, i'd be happy to give him a call! :D

it's just a matter of $...we have no one backing us...this is all self-funded. we're open to any/all suggestions! thanks, everyone!

The only problem is that most of these places don't do small orders. That's what I've found with Vinyl Pressers. this place sounds like a great place and hopefully they will. Let me know what you find out because I'd love to do this at some point when our album is ready.

yeah, it's not cheap but i don't know that pressing your own vinyl ever is.

As i mentioned though, i'm sure you could always give them a call and see if they offer any other types of packages. You never know

Good luck in your search and let us know if you come across any great deals. Will keep an eye out for you as well
