I'm still fired up over the Grammys last night. Eddie was right. The Grammies mean nothing. Fucking scumbag.

Good god...some women actually ARE this stupid.

Where the hell do they learn this?

F the grammys in general. The last time I enjoyed watching was when I was in elementary school and Men At Work played. :)

This is pretty sad. My sister dated a guy just out of high school that hit her. The anger that reading this provoked in me is likely unhealthy so I will let it go by saying that I hope these ignorant people never get to realize the reality of taking a beating from someone they love. Morons.

Maybe they should go to an abused women's hostel and then see if they still feel that way. I have never read anything so f-ing stupid in my life!

This really is pathetic. I've known women who have suffered physical abuse and they sure as hell don't think it's funny. Very sad actually.

Well, that's pretty bad too...but this surpasses it by a longshot.

I just can't get my mind around the frivolity with which they make these proclamations...with fucking smiley-faces, yet.

How has this guy been forgiven by most people?

this is so discourging to domestic violence survivors. also for those that have given time & effort helping other women & children escape it, as well as help educate ppl about DV.

part of teaching DV awareness is that the misogynist viewpoint of "she was asking for it" is not ever acceptable....

it's sickening how these stupid  girls have fucked up alot of forward progress in this regard

So, white chicks are cool with getting beat as long as the guy is good looking and can sing/dance? That's what I took away from reading those tweets.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

this is pretty sick. do we really have a culture of masochists or are they really just that ignorant?

funny what sex appeal would make people willing to endure...

My bet is that these women lead such good and easy lives that they ignorantly proclaim it by posting these tweets. They obviously have NO idea...

    Our society is trash.

Well, hitting your girlfriend is a crazy thing to do, terrible. But people can change, so I'm not sure why forgiveness is a sign that our society is trash.

As far as the girls on twitter. It's actually a sign that society is mostly good. Because none of these girls have ever had to deal with physical abuse or there is no way they would be posting stuff like that. This is stuff that people say all the times to their friends as jokes, etc but twitter now allows the rest of us to hear it. Yeah twitter! :(

    They just don't understand.

Well, I for one, agree with every one of those girls on twitter...I'd let Chris Brown punch me in the face too...so that it would give me the opportunity to show him what it was like to eat food without teeth for awhile. :D

well, there's no help for them

if they have never been beaten and think that they want it
    well

'disturbing' is right.. it's completely absurd, riciculous, and stupid for girls/women to write or tweet or even think it or whatever.

thank you for this. i too wish he would beat on me for awhile. i'd break his bones.

to me one of the worst things in the world is a woman beater. every single time i hear or read a story about a guy beating/abusing a woman i wanna physically hurt that dude with everything i got. somehow it sets off these chemicals inside of me that have me seeing red and violence towards the guy. yes i would knock chris brown flat on his ass where he'd lose teeth and blood.

not true. many women actually are fully in love with an abusive guy. it is pure fact. you should know your fellow gender better, pandora. your statement here is incorrect.

    edit.

i know of a family where they have mom, dad, and three kids, all the kids are grown, 2 girls and one son. the parents are approaching 60 years old. they party pretty good still these days. when dad gets mad at anyone or anything outside the family circle, he takes it out on his family, mostly his wife. she has been getting physically and mentally beaten for their entire relationship. he will smack her around until she has to pick herself up off the ground. she will then pretend like nothing happened whatsoever. this is what they do. very sick to me and i cannot be around them at all. it is my goal or dream or something like this to knock him on his ass.

  • Kinda sad really... And obviously idiotic of these girls to ignore the trauma of being in an abusive relationship.

But... (and I know there is a bigger issue associated with this type of behavior with women, and abusive relationships), if you made the offer to a guy that they could spend a night with Scarlett Johansson or (insert really hot celebrity here), and all it would cost them is getting punched in the face afterwards, most guys would go along with it.

One might even say, "give their left nut."

    Partial castration? ;)

Yeah, these girls are pretty dumb, but I'm sure most of them are joking.

I remember the day after the Grammy's in 2009 my senior year of high school, when the news of the beating broke the night before, there were girls in my school saying they didn't care if he beat them. I think about every guy in school told them to their faces they were stupid for saying that. Their response: "I don't care, he's so good looking."

women...many of them stay in terribly abusive relationships because of the following reasons
    1. he is good looking
    2. has money
    3. good in bed
    4. kids are involved
    5. scared to leave (brainwashed)
    6. ect

after a long period of being smacked around
or even a brief time of being hit
many believe it is there fault and they deserved it because they fucked up dinner
or didn't clean the house good enough or something like this

they stay with him no matter what
    they are brainwashed
they are fucked up mentally by his bullshit and evil ways

    some escape and heal
    some escape and never heal
some never escape and never heal either

this is the life many women live everyday and they stay in it

There has to be something in their lives prior to that, which makes them think it's normal...acceptable, even?

Something that beat into them that they're lesser, not good enough, ugly...a slew of "reasons".

    Really sad.

I can't imagine living that mentality, on either side of the fist.

WIth my sister she was a 'fixer of broken things' and she thought she could change the loser. We tried the legal way and he got off w/o any time in jail. We made his time as uncomfortable as possible. I am not ashamed to say I was directly and indirectly involved with some pretty bad shit that went on toward this piece of lowlife scum that repeatedly hit my sister. After one of these incidents resulted in him laying in a broken heap outside of a bar he finally moved away.

What made my sister most happy was how many people offered to (and did) fuck with this guy once they learned of what he liked to do to his girlfriends.

Most confounding part? She was in training to be a cop when this all happened and is a smart woman. She wanted to be a cop but this experience showed her that cops are largely ineffective and so she became a social worker. She has been helping women for years.

Damn. Good on you...and good on your sister for breaking her cycle and helping other women to do the same.
